About

About

I am a filmmaker with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of the craft; from Production Assistant to Director and Associate Producer, I have done my best to learn about the process of filmmaking from all the positions I have held. My goal has always been to write and direct my own projects, and to act in projects that are challenging and exciting, that speak to my artistic sensibilities. Filmmaking is a collaborative form of art, one where dozens or hundreds of separate artists come together towards a shared vision; this has always been my favorite aspect.

Below you will find a brief biography of me as well as a list of services I hope to offer.

My Story

I fell in love with filmmaking on my first set while working as an art department assistant in 2006. I had just graduated from college in Connecticut with a degree in History and was interested in broadening my horizons. My time on set generated in me a desire to learn as much as I could about the process from as many angles and positions as possible. I told myself that if I wanted to be an artist in this medium, I needed to collect as much experience around the camera as possible, eventually writing and directing my own projects

After working as an Art Director, Production Designer, Assistant Director, and Actor on other shorts, features, and TV episodes in New England, I moved to LA in 2009. I continued to learn, focusing more on acting in an effort to better understand how to work with actors as a director. Meanwhile, I began studying scriptwriting and working on my own.

Since then, I have written several feature length scripts, short scripts, and TV pilots. One of these pilots was SILVER AGE, my directorial debut, which went on to appear in over a dozen film festivals and garner several award nominations for its script. My latest project, working as an actor and associate producer for the feature “The Magnificent Terayamas” (2026), allowed me to utilize not only my film production abilities as well as my Japanese language skills (I currently speak, read, and write Japanese and French).

Services for hire

In addition to writing my own scripts, I have also worked as an editor and script doctor for directors looking to beef-up their latest drafts before production. This work ranges all the way from minute details like dialogue and character motivation all the way to broad strokes like story structure.

This was where I started, where my eye for detail and my artistic sensibilities were first recognized. Whether it’s been on productions as small as student theses at UCLA and AFI, music videos for up-and-coming artists, or feature films, I have always worked closely with producers and directors in guiding the artistic vision of the project.

My time in front of the camera has varied from shorts and experimental films to a commercial for Sony and feature films. I’ve also worked as an acting coach, teaching classes in Hollywood for actors looking to practice for their auditions. This experience has helped me greatly in how I direct actors for my own projects and I want to continue to perform in other artists’ projects.
